For example, If I were to produce/finance a $200k budget film and just want to sell it to either to a Walmart or distributor outright like a negative pickup. What are the guarantees that they will honor the deal and buy the film?; ▶ Reply to This

Short answer - you won't get such a commitment from Walmart and whether the distributor will honor the deal will depend on the reputation of the distrib. Assuming it's a reputable distributor, whether it must purchase the film will depend on the terms of the deal and whether you have met the terms exactly.
