Playing characters as different as the brilliant mathematician in the stage version of PROOF, to a judge who secretly likes to wear women’s clothes in the film SCAMELOT, Dick McMahon has taken on divergent roles.
In PATHFINDERS, a movie directed by Michael Conner Humphries (young Forest Gump in the Tom Hanks film), Dick played an American General who questions the D-Day invasion of World War II. He also appeared as a wounded Vietnam vet in the short film A HERO'S GIFT and an aging hippy in FORGOTTEN PLACES.
Besides PROOF, his stage credits include Talthybius in THE TROJAN WOMEN and the psychiatrist in DREAMS OF PANDORA, as well as comedy characters Blaine Bland in THE CNN MACBETH and Doctor Doolots in DR. DOOLOTS' DILEMMA. He has numerous television & radio voice-over credits and was an announcer on Nashville’s famous GRAND 'OLE OPRY.
He is married to Frannie McMahon, has a son & daughter and three grandchildren.
