What if you lived in Victorian London, the time of Jack the Ripper? What if you were one of the women he attacked, yet you managed to escape? And what if you knew he needed to find you and silence you before you identified him?
New maid Dorcy Edwards spurns her wealthy employer's attempts to seduce her. When he becomes a victim of the person the newspapers call "Jack the Ripper," estranged son Gareth Davenport returns to London to handle his father's affairs. Dorcy puzzles over what the handsome, brooding heir might be hiding behind his eye patch and black leather gloves. As circumstances unfold to expose the killer's identity, Dorcy's plunged into a nightmare, convinced Gareth is none other than the infamous murderer. But is Dorcy's life what Gareth seeks? Or nothing more easily broken than her heart?

Continued bestselling historical romance at my publisher's site since its release Jan. 16, 2008! A five-star review from Fallen Angels:

"See No Evil, My Pretty Lady is a wonderful, well-crafted mystery...The author, Miss Mae, kept me guessing. I was convinced I had solved the murder at least a half dozen times, only to have a plot twist on the next page scuttle my theories..."

Independent Actors Need Your Support!

Greetings to all my Indie friends!

Yes, I'm involved in a contest. What I am doing is asking for you, lovers of independent short films, to throw your support behind a movie trailer and the actors who star in it.

If you haven't watched, "It's Elementary, My Dear Winifred", this was produced by Triad Film, employing hence unknown actors. These actors did a brilliant job and THEY deserve to win - the award can be added to their resumes. My book isn't even out yet, this won't help… Continue

Yes, I think I will shout it from the mountaintops. This script has been 4 years in the making and 3 years trying to get someone to notice. It is historical and epic in nature, which means a big budget. BUT, I believe, and so now do others, that it is a story that needs to be told.

It is the story of Sacagawea.

Thanks for your thoughts and positive vibes, that is what it takes to attract success to ones self. I am constantly "willing" it to come. I believe it will. Never been a patient person though. :)

I"ll keep you informed.

MM,
What an incredible writing career you have had. It is an inspiration to me as I have written only one screenplay. I love your indipro site, too -- very entertaining.

I am waiting on pins and needles to hear about my screenplay. I have an A-list actor interested in playing the supporting actor and two producers ready to fund the project. I'm waiting to hear back from the director -- but it's the holidays and I must be patient.

So, wish me luck.
Thanks, Mae,
Jane

Me again. I'm waiting for reviews. Where do I find your book? I probably just need to click on it here, right? I'm almost done with Meg Abbott's The Song is You and I need another cool read.

MM,

Thanks for 'being there' with such laudatory comments, as always. You're very kind.

Regarding translating your books -or any book for that matter- into Spanish I encourage you to not only think about it beyond the predictable, understandable 'bug in your ear' but also to talk specifically about this topic in the foreseeable future. Believe me, I do count with the required expertise and true commitment to accomplish a very professional job.

Cheers,
Juan /
