If you are new to Twitter and don't really understand hashtags, hit me up and I'll fill you in. It's dead easy I promise. The most cost efficient way to reach an audience is through using social media, but we know that many filmmakers are not accustomed to the new…See More

Ben Niles Talks About Note by Note

One of Jon’s chapters concerns the film Note by Note, a documentary about the making of a Steinway concert grand #L1037 piano from forest floor to concert hall. The film was completed in 2006 when the talk of internet distribution and social media marketing of films had hardly begun. Back then, the conventional route of getting a sales agent, premiering at a major film festival like Sundance or Toronto to start a…

The Distributor ReportCard

My friends at The Film Collaborative have devised a resource for indie filmmakers to use called the Distributor ReportCard. According to their site "Distributor ReportCard™ gives filmmakers and producers a chance to SCHOOL THE DISTRIBUTORS. Write reviews, share your experiences and learn from other filmmakers' successes or mistakes.

Simply click on one of the distributors to the left and you'll be taken to the info page for that distributor. All information is gathered…

That's a shame. There's a really big Indie community in Atlanta. This is also the first time Dov has come to Atlanta. Things are really starting to happen here. If he does come back, I'll definitely be there.

Hi Sheri,
Thanks so much for the invite. Unfortunately, I'll be attending Dov Simen's Two Day Film School on that same weekend. Wish I could make it. Let me know when the next one is.
Regards,
Adrian

Hi Sheri:

Thanks for the invitation I will pass it on. Unfortunately, I am in Belgium shooting from 3rd may until end of may. So won't be in the country, infact until June 15, I will be going to iran to research another project. I hope you have a great time, and learn a lot. I will of course pass the information on. Thanks again.
