This weekend, we had the pleasure of garnering the BEST SHORT FILM award at the
SHARPCUTS Indy FIlm & Music festival for RAY'S BIG DAY, a stop-motion animated tribute to Ray Harryhausen directed by Marc Lougee & Steve Jaworski.
We produced this film as a commission for the Visual Effects Society in honor of Ray, and since the initial screening in Burbank, the film has not been screened anywhere else- making the SHARPCUTS show a premiere!

We're especially pleased to have been in favor with the jury on this one, as the film was a labour of love, start to finish. Presenting the awards was none other than Art Hindle, Canadian acting icon (Invasion of the Body Snatcher's, The Brood, Porky's, ENG)- Art is a blast to hang with, and he surely was the life of the presentation party.
The FRIGHT NIGHT BEST SHORT FILM AWARD was sponsored by the illustrious
Miguel Gallego of CRYPT CLUB PRODUCTIONS, distributor of short horror films- and the award is a fine one indeed.
(Stay tuned, as I've got pics coming soon)!
Thanks especially to all the awesome volunteers who helped the SHARPCUTS fest to an aweseme event- We had a blast being there, and enjoyed the event as much as anyone. Thomas Gofton, the mastermind behind the SHARPCUTS festival, certainly deserves a huge hand for getting this thing together- brilliant.
We'll be releasing the short film online soon- check back soon for details on where you'll be able to see it!
Cheers, M.
